How to minimize unnecessary interference in our children’s learning:
My 2.5 year old daughter was playing and exploring a torch
In the excitement to engage with her and teach her something in a fun way, my wife interrupted her flow state of exploration and learning to show her “point and go” game with the torch
My daughter loved it
After sometime I told my wife, it was a great game but I’d introduce that game after my daughter has finished exploring the torch on her own and was about to move on
That way, my daughter would have gotten the opportunity to discover the game on her own or something else which we can’t imagine
Parenting and teaching is intervention, but when to intervene must be given at least a small pause and some thought
