Recently I’ve observed my 2.5 year old daughter get angry and bang her head if she’s banged it once by mistake


I’ve started telling her during and after such incidents that if something like that happens, we say oopsie and let it go


I make it a point to reiterate this multiple times and call it out when she follows this


She’s now started to pick this up


Oftentimes giving an alternative response to an event solves such not so helpful reactions
